Live Review Guitar Shorty

Guitar Shorty has been know to do flips during his performances? But not on this night  at J&Jblues Bar. He is  still one of the best guitar players around?  Dressed in his flashy suit, his fingers loaded with jewelry and his quick smiling face, Guitar Shorty is the best showman on the circuit. This  Texas native has become a main stay on the national Blues scene. Born David Kearney, September 8, 1939 in Houston, Texas, Guitar Shorty said he is part Irish and has a ball whenever he performs in Ireland. It was in Kissimmee, Florida (outside of Orlando) that the young Shorty first learned to play the guitar. And got his stage name . It is said that he helped mold the stylings of Jimi Hendrix  and Buddy Guy. Cutting out tunes from  the CD We The  People  and    Watch Your Back     2009  finds Shorty  no worse for the wear ,maybe even alittle more of a shine gleams from those strings.
