The Bellamy Brothers Jesus Is
Coming
Jesus
is
Coming is a collection of 13 new gospel that are done in
the true Bellamy style! But don't
let the Christian genre full you; some of the songs seem like saw dust
boot scooters. The album is full of subtle humor. For example
"Drug Problem" is about being
drug around as a boy to church and family events. If only this
was the worst of our drug problems today. "Lord Help Me Be the
Kind of Person My Dog Thinks I Am" is about just that. Dogs have
such unconditional love for anyone that will love them and feed
them. Their title track has a great message but is also not
without humor, "Jesus is coming, and boy is he pissed."
Despite the humor,
the Bellamy Brothers have obviously
drawn on their own lives in order to reach in and touch the lives of
others singing songs from being "Spiritually Bankrupt" not knowing
where to turn to being on the "Wings of the Wind" where Christ will
carry us home.
The album also includes a few new versions of
old hits. There's a new version of "Old Hippie" as well as "Let
Your Love Flow, and a reggae version of "I'll Fly Away".
Jesus is Coming
should be easily loved by both Country and Gospel music fans.
Honestly, even if you are not a fan of either but are merely seeking a
meaning in life, I would strongly recomend this one. With such a
broad variety of style and so many great messages, there's bound to be
something here to lift your soul. Jesus Is Coming
to a store near you soon.
